If you’re using sex toys, always remember to use a condom and to change it for a new one for each partner or between penetrations of different orifices.
Sex toys should be washed after each use with warm water and soap.
Avoid oral sex if there are open wounds or sores on your mouth. If you do wish to carry on and perform oral sex with sores in your mouth, use a dental dam.
Remember, infections can be transmitted by hands, fingers and mutual masturbation (rubbing of vagina to vagina). Wash your hands before and after sex.
